I was at both these shows and felt that the first was the better at the time, but I find that mostly I only really listen to the 2nd set. This show, I listen to the whole show and I listen more often than 10/27.

I think both shows are splendid. And though the band carries the momentum from the 27th into the first set of the following performance, I think the second set on the 28th falls just a touch short. Just my take and I don't even like 1979 Dead...

good point, Cliff! by the 2nd set of the 28th i think the heat inside the Coliseum had gotten the best of everyone!
